Terms & Conditions
Please read the terms and conditions carefully before registering, accessing or using the TCC Services offered through the TCC Platform. These terms constitute a legal contract between You and Pockket Payment Technologies Private Limited (“The Card Company (TCC)”) having its registered office at Unit No. 37A & 37B, Ground Floor, Tower B1, Spaze I-Tech Park, Sector 49, Sohna Road, Gurugram, Haryana - 122018.
Eligibility
By registering on, accessing, downloading or using the TCC Platform and accessing / availing the TCC Services, you are representing and warranting the following:
- You are capable of entering into a legally binding agreement and have power to enter into, exercise your rights under, and perform your obligations under these Terms of use;
- You are not barred, suspended, removed, disqualified or otherwise legally prohibited from accessing or using the TCC Platform and TCC Services;
- You shall not be impersonating any person or entity, or falsely stating or otherwise misrepresenting Your identity, age or affiliation with any person or entity;
- If you allow anyone to use your account, you will be responsible for ensuring that such individuals comply with these Terms of Use. You will be responsible for all actions these individuals take in and/or through your account. You also acknowledge that TCC does not have the responsibility of ensuring that You meet the aforesaid eligibility requirements.
All services are rendered by TCC through the TCC Platform under the brand name “TCC”. Consequently, all the rights, benefits, liabilities and obligations under these Terms of use shall, as the case may be, accrue to the benefit of, or incurred by, TCC, regarding Your use of TCC Services (which includes without limitation prepaid recharge, bill payment, or any such other services which may be added to the TCC Platform). TCC Services shall be used by You subject to Your adherence with these Terms of use. As long as You accept and comply with these Terms of use, TCC grants You a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited, revocable privilege to enter and use the TCC Platform and/or avail the TCC Services.
Definitions
- “The Card Company”, “TCC”, “Pockket Payment Technologies Pvt Ltd”, “Pockkets”, “PPTPL” “We”, “Us”, “Our” means The Card Company and TCC Group Entities.
- “You”, “Yours”, “Yourself”, “User” means any prospective user, or registered user of TCC and TCC Group Entities, including but not limited to customers and Commercial Partners.
- “TCC App” means mobile application(s), hosted by TCC and TCC Group Entities for providing services to the Users, and Commercial Partners.
- “TCC Group Entities” means subsidiaries and affiliates of TCC.
- “TCC Platform” means any platform owned/subscribed/used by TCC or TCC Group Entities including but not limited to the TCC Website, the TCC App, other mobile applications, devices, URLs/links, notifications, chatbots, TCC's social media channels or any other communication medium or mechanism used by TCC or TCC Group Entities to provide services to the Users.
- “TCC Website” means https://thecardcompany.in or any other website hosted or registered by TCC or TCC Group Entities.
- “TCC Services” means and include all services offered / to be offered by TCC, and TCC Group Entities either directly or through its Commercial Partners including but not limited to Credit Card Bill Payment Services, TCC Wallet α Services, Bill Payment Services, Mobile Recharge.
- “Commercial Partner” means any individual or entity with whom TCC or TCC Group Entities have a contractual relationship and includes but is not limited to entities offering rewards on TCC App, etc.
- “Applicable Law” means (i) any law, statute, rule, regulation, order, circular, decree, directive, judgment, decision or other similar mandate of any applicable central, national, state or local governmental/regulatory authority having competent jurisdiction and force of law over, or applicable to You, us or the subject matter in question, as may be amended from time to time, and (ii) shall without limitation include any notification, circular, directive or other similar instruction issued by the ‘Financial Sector Regulators’ including but not limited to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and/or rules, regulations, roles, responsibilities and processes as defined by NPCI on their website www.npci.org.in.
- “Terms of use” / “Terms and Conditions” are interchangeably used and mean these Terms of Service including the Supplemental Terms.
Your Use of TCC
You agree that:
- Unless otherwise permitted by TCC in writing, You may only possess one account.
- Your use of the TCC Platform shall not violate any applicable law or regulation.
- Your use of the TCC App, and TCC Platforms shall be only for personal purposes.
- All data you submit for your account is truthful, complete, accurate, and not misleading and you agree to maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date account information in your account.
- You are responsible for all the activities that occur under your account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the access credentials of your account. You agree to immediately notify TCC of any case of unauthorized use, disclosure and/or misuse of your passcode, mPIN or account or any other breach of security of user's data.
- You agree that You are aware and responsible for all transactions taking place through your Account. You shall continue to be responsible for the transactions in your account, if you knowingly or negligently (i) grant any other person access to your TCC App, (ii) permit them to transact on Your account, or (iii) transact on any other person's behalf or directions; whether by sharing one-time passwords or in any other manner.
- You shall not indulge in decompiling, reverse engineering, disassembling content, removing any intellectual property right associated with the TCC Platform, including our copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, designs, and patents, or other proprietary notices.
- You shall not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to discover the source code of the TCC Services or TCC Platform or any part thereof.
- You shall not damage, disable or otherwise interfere with security related features of the TCC Platform or features that enforce limitation on the use of the TCC Platform or the TCC Services.
- You shall not access or use the TCC Platform or avail any TCC Services in any manner that (i) may be harmful to the operation of the TCC App or its content; (ii) may be unlawful; (iii) maybe harmful to TCC or to any other User; (iv) may hinder the other User's enjoyment of the TCC Services; or (v) to defraud other Users, TCC or any Commercial Partner.
- You shall not post, distribute, or otherwise transmit or make available any software or other computer files that contain a virus, other harmful component or malicious content, or otherwise impair or damage the TCC Platform or any connected network, or otherwise interfere with any person or entity's use or enjoyment of the TCC Platform.
- You are prohibited from posting or transmitting to or through TCC Platform: (i) any unlawful, threatening, libellous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic or other material or content that would violate rights of publicity and/or privacy or that would violate any law or that harms minors in any way; (ii) any commercial material or content; (iii) any material or content that infringes, misappropriates or violates any copyright, trademark, patent right or other proprietary right of any third party; (iv) content that threatens the unity, integrity, defense, security or sovereignty of India; or (v) content that is illegal in any other way.
- You shall not delete or modify any content of the TCC Platform.
- You shall not resell or assign the TCC Services, information or software associated with or derived from it in whole or in part.
- Your use of the TCC App shall indicate that you have provided consent to automatically receive updates such as bug fixes, patches, enhanced functions, missing plug-ins and new versions (collectively, ‘Updates’), for the purpose of effective delivery of the TCC Services.
- You agree and authorize TCC to share your information with its partner banks, financial institutions, group companies, Affiliates, vendors, service providers, and other third parties as necessary to provide the various products and services you select or to offer additional services.
- By accessing the TCC Platform or using TCC Services, You acknowledge and agree that we may display offers, promotions, and other content from our partners, Affiliates, and third parties to You.
- You understand and accept that not all products, services and rewards offered on the TCC Platform are available in all geographic areas and you may not be eligible for all the products, services and rewards offered by TCC.
- You shall request TCC, to block the Account and change the passcode immediately for the account, if your device has been lost or stolen.
- TCC is hereby entitled to reject any user without giving any reason.
- The usage of the TCC Platform may also require You to provide consent for providing Your Personal Information (“PI”) or to authorize TCC to derive Your data/information from any source or public registry or portal, as may be necessary to complete Your application on the TCC Platform, conduct due diligence on You, undertake KYC checks by itself or any other third party and/or to provide You TCC Services through TCC Platform.
Supplemental Terms and Delivery of Services through TCC Group Entities
You agree and acknowledge that several features including but not limited to TCC's My Wallet, My Dues and Rewards, are subject to certain supplemental Terms of Use set out below. Your usage of any features that have a set of Supplemental Terms of Use is deemed to be acceptance of the said Supplemental Terms of Use. You further agree that any TCC Services may be provided to You either directly by TCC or by any TCC Group Entity.
Violation of Terms of Use / Suspicious Activity
If We believe that you have violated any of the conditions as mentioned under these Terms of Use, our Privacy Policy, Supplemental Terms applicable to certain services or any agreements consented to via the TCC Platform, we reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the TCC Platform and/or TCC Services, or any part thereof, and/or delete your account without prior notice to You, and reverse any transaction undertaken by You. If We have reason to believe that there is suspicious or unusual activity being carried out through your account, we may temporarily or permanently suspend your access to the TCC Services, and reverse any transaction undertaken by You. TCC reserves the right to reverse the relevant transaction, suspend your account and/or restrict you from using the TCC Platform in its entirety or any specific feature(s) thereof if any feature, offer or reward promotion is being availed in a disingenuous or abusive manner. TCC may ask for additional information/documents if required, including but not limited to Your permanent account number (PAN). You agree that TCC will not be liable to You or any third party for any such termination or suspension.
You may reach out to the TCC support team to assist you with any query or question arising as a result of the aforementioned suspension/deletion.
Termination / Deletion of Your Account
You may end your legal agreement with TCC at any time by deactivating your account and discontinuing the use of the TCC Services. We provide all our Users an option through which a User may request archive of a specific card stored on his/her account or deletion/deactivation of the complete account through the support section on the TCC App.
Following a request for deletion, or termination of account by TCC, We consider the agreement to be terminated and take appropriate steps. Provided however, TCC may continue to maintain transaction records for record keeping purposes and/or regulatory reasons. Deletion of the account or Termination also does not terminate Your obligations undertaken prior to deletion or termination of the account. TCC may continue to retain a record of your transactions made on the TCC App for regulatory and archival purposes.
You agree that TCC, in its sole discretion, for any or no reason, and without penalty, may suspend or terminate Your account (or any part thereof) or Your use of the TCC Services and/or TCC Platform and remove and discard on the TCC Platform all or any part of Your account.
Fees
TCC reserves the right to impose and/or revise charges/commissions/fees in relation to the use of your TCC Platform, in its sole discretion, without any prior notice. You are responsible for any fees that may be applicable to certain transactions or use of the TCC Platform; where you will be notified of such applicable fees, prior to the completion of any transaction. By clicking ‘Proceed’ / ‘Submit’ / ‘Continue’ or any other similar button on the TCC Platform, You shall be deemed to have consented to the charges/commission/fees displayed on the said page.
Privacy
We collect, hold, use and transfer your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By agreeing to the Terms of Use and using the TCC Platform, you also hereby agree to our Privacy Policy, which may be updated and/or modified by us from time to time. You understand and agree that, to the extent permitted by applicable law, any data provided by you in connection with the TCC Services may be shared with our subsidiaries, affiliates or partners, and/or used by us for enhancing the TCC Services, including but not limited to creating new products. Please refer to the Privacy Policy for further clarity.
Disclaimer; No Warranties
The TCC Services, including all data, content, software, functions, material, reference sites, services and/or information made available or accessible through the TCC Platform are provided on “as is” and “as available” basis. TCC, TCC Group Entities and their respective agents, co-branders or partners, make no representation and warranty of any kind either express or implied for the content, software, functions, material, and information available/accessible through the Services.
TCC does not warrant that the functions contained in content, information and materials on the TCC Platform, including, without limitation any third-party sites or services linked to the TCC App or any TCC Platform will be uninterrupted, timely or error-free, non-infringed, correct, useful, that the defects will be rectified, or that the TCC App or the servers that make such content, information, and materials available are free of viruses or other harmful components.
You understand and agree that You use, access, download, or otherwise obtain information, materials, or data through the TCC Services and/or TCC Platform at Your own discretion and risk and that You will be solely responsible for any damage to Your property (including Your computer system and mobile device or any other equipment) or loss of data that results from the download or use of such material or data. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained by You from Us or through or from the TCC Services and/or TCC Platform will create any warranty not expressly stated in the Terms of use.
Further, You understand that a payment transaction is solely between the User who uses the TCC Services to make his payment (“Sender”) and the User who receives such payment (“Recipient”) and that TCC does not provide any guarantees or warranties to any User with respect any service, goods, or delivery level commitment provided by the Recipient. You should ensure that you have undertaken adequate due diligence prior to transferring payments using the TCC Platform.
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall TCC, TCC Group Entities, their officers, affiliates, shareholders, subsidiaries, associate companies, representatives, directors, employees and agents, partners, co-branders, licensors, licensees, consultants, or contractors be responsible or liable to you or any third party for any injury, death, claim, act of god, accident, delay, special, incidental, indirect, exemplary, consequential or punitive damages or losses whatsoever, or damages for loss of business opportunities, revenues, data or anticipated profits/savings, goodwill, and/or other intangible loss or damage of any nature whatsoever, whether or not foreseeable and regardless of whether TCC has been advised of the possibility of such damages, or based on any theory of liability, including breach of contract or warranty, negligence or other tortious action, or any other claim arising out of or in connection with your use of, or access to, the TCC Platforms, TCC App or TCC Services.
Notwithstanding anything under these Terms of use, in no event shall TCC and TCC Group Entities' total cumulative liability to You in connection with the TCC Services for all damages, losses and causes of action (whether arising under contract or otherwise), arising from or relating to Your use of the TCC App and TCC Platforms or arising from these Terms of Use exceed INR 10,000 (Indian Rupees ten thousand only). TCC's liability under or in connection with Terms of use will be proportionately reduced to the extent any loss or damage is contributed to by You or commercial partner.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless TCC, TCC Group Entities, its officers, owners, affiliates, group company, representatives, directors, employees and agents, partners, co-branders, licensors, licensees, consultants, contractors and other applicable third parties (collectively ‘Indemnified Parties’) from and against any and all claims, demands, recoveries, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, fines, penalties, cause of action, costs or debt, and expenses of any kind (including any legal attorney fees) arising out of or from:
- your use of and access to the TCC App and/or the TCC Platforms;
- your violation / breach of any of these Terms of Use;
- your violation of any third party rights, including any intellectual property right or privacy right;
- your breach of the representations, warranties, and covenants made by You herein;
- the committing of any of the prohibited activities as stated herein;
- your failure to be in compliance with Applicable Law, including tax laws and cyber security laws; or
- any claim that your use of the TCC App caused damage to a third party.
The covenants of Indemnity set forth herein shall survive and continue even after the termination of Your use of the TCC Services and/or the TCC Platform.
Disputes Resolution & Arbitration
In consideration of TCC granting you access to and use of the TCC App, TCC Platforms and TCC Services, you agree that in case of any dispute between You and any of the Commercial Partner or other User or recipient of the funds transferred by You, TCC shall not be a party to the same. While TCC is not obligated to mediate or resolve disputes, TCC will assist Users in communicating with each other regarding a dispute.
Except as otherwise set forth in these Terms of Use, these Terms of Use shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or broadly in connection with the TCC Services or these Terms of use shall be, if initiated by the User, first raised by the User to TCC customer support through the TCC App and if not suitably resolved, the user may raise a grievance using the Grievance Redressal Form. If such Dispute has not been settled within sixty (60) days after the User reaches out to the Grievance Officer, such Dispute can be referred to and shall be exclusively and finally resolved by arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The Dispute shall be resolved by one (1) arbitrator to be appointed by TCC. The place of arbitration shall be Gurgaon, India. The language of the arbitration shall be English. All administrative fees and expenses of arbitration will be divided equally between You and TCC. In all arbitrations, each party will bear the expense of its own lawyers and preparation.
Use and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights
TCC App, TCC Website, TCC logos and the TCC Services are protected by copyright, trademarks, patents, trade secret and/or other intellectual property and proprietary laws. No information, content or material from the TCC Platform including, without limitation, all of the page headers, visual interfaces, graphics, design, compilation, information, products, software, services, images, illustrations, graphics, audio clips, video clips or text, reports generated, trademarks, tradenames may be copied, reproduced, republished, licensed, copied, modified, publicly displayed, uploaded, posted, transmitted, published, derived from, unauthorized usage or distributed in any way without Our express written permission. You are hereby given a limited licence to use the TCC App and the TCC Platforms, subject to your agreement of these Terms of Use.
TCC, TCC Group Entities, and its licensors, if any, are the sole owners of the underlying software and source code associated with the TCC App and TCC Platforms as well as any other intellectual property rights of any other nature associated with the TCC App, TCC Platforms and their content.
When you upload, submit, store, send or receive content that may include feedback to or through the TCC App, you give TCC and TCC Group Entities a worldwide, perpetual licence to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works, communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content. This licence shall not expire even if it is not used by TCC or TCC Group Entities. This licence continues even if you stop using TCC Services.
Tax Liability
You hereby agree to comply with any and all applicable tax laws in connection with your use of the TCC Services, including without limitation, the reporting and payment of any taxes arising in connection with payments made through the TCC Platform, or funds/income received through the TCC Services. You are solely responsible for all taxes, tariffs and duties that may be incurred as a result of your usage of TCC Platform and/or availing TCC Services. TCC will only collect taxes, tariffs and duties on transactions to the extent explicitly required by applicable law.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
The TCC App, the TCC Services, all your transactions with the TCC Platform, and our relationship shall be governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that subject to the Disputes & Arbitration Clause above, all claims, differences and disputes which we may have shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in Gurgaon, Haryana, India.
Assignment
You shall not transfer or assign any of Your rights and obligations arising from these Terms of Use.
You agree and acknowledge that TCC may assign or transfer its rights and obligations under these Terms of Use in whole or in part, to (i) any other TCC Group Entity; (ii) an acquirer of TCC or any TCC Group Entity or their respective equity interest, business or assets; or (iii) a successor entity resulting from any corporate action including mergers or demergers.
General
No joint venture, partnership, employment or agency relationship exists between you, TCC, TCC Group Entities or any Third Party as a result of the contract contained in these Terms of Use. If any provision of these Terms of Use is held to be illegal, void, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, under any law, such provision or part thereof shall to that extent be deemed not to form part of these Terms of Use but the legality, validity and enforceability of the other provisions in these Terms of Use shall not be affected.
In that event, TCC shall replace the illegal, invalid or unenforceable provision or part thereof with a provision or part thereof that is legal, valid and enforceable and that has, to the greatest extent possible, a similar effect as the illegal, invalid or unenforceable provision or part thereof, given the contents and purpose of these Terms of Use. These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement and understanding of the parties with respect to its subject matter and replaces and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements or undertakings regarding such subject matter.
Modification
We reserve the right to change, modify, add, remove, amend these Terms of Use and any other Supplemental Terms and Conditions at any time by posting an updated version on the TCC Website without giving you any prior notice. The updated version of these Terms of Use shall supersede the previous version and take effect immediately upon posting. You have the right to opt-out of agreeing to these Terms of Use by ceasing to use the TCC Platform. However, your continued use of the TCC Services and/or TCC Platform from the launch of any updated Terms of Use would mean deemed acceptance of such updated Terms of Use.

Waiver
Any failure or delay by TCC to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Terms of use, or any related right, will not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. The exercise of one or more of TCC's rights hereunder shall not be a waiver of, or preclude the exercise of, any rights or remedies available to TCC under these Terms of use or in law or at equity. Any waiver of any provision of this Terms of use will be effective only if in writing and signed by TCC.
Third Party Links / Offers
TCC Platform may contain links to other websites over which we have no control. We encourage You to review the terms and privacy policies of those other websites. TCC is not responsible for the terms and conditions, privacy policies or practices of other websites to which You choose to link from the Platform. You further acknowledge and agree that TCC shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource.
Force Majeure
If performance of TCC Services/TCC Platform by TCC is prevented, restricted, delayed or interfered with by reason of labour disputes, strikes, acts of God, epidemic, pandemic, floods, lightning, severe weather, shortages of materials, rationing, inducement of any virus, malware, trojan or other disruptive mechanisms, any event of hacking or illegal usage of the TCC Platform, utility or communication failures, earthquakes, war, revolution, acts of terrorism, civil commotion, acts of public enemies, blockade, embargo or any law, order, proclamation, regulation, ordinance, demand or requirement having legal effect of any government, regulatory or any judicial authority or representative of any such government, or any other act whatsoever, whether similar or dissimilar to those referred to in this clause, which are beyond the reasonable control of TCC, then TCC shall be excused and discharged from such performance to the extent of and during the period of such force majeure event.
Anti Bribery and Sanction Laws
You agree to comply with all applicable anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws which prohibit officials, representatives, agents or any other person associated with or acting on behalf of You from giving, offering, promising to offer, receiving/accepting or acting in any other manner so as to induce a payment, gift, hospitality or anything else of value (either directly or indirectly) whether from within the country or from abroad to government officials, public servants, regulatory bodies, judicial authorities, persons in positions of authority, elected or contesting electoral candidates, political parties or office bearers thereof or any other third party or person in order to obtain an improper commercial/business advantage of any kind. You also agree not to give, offer, pay, promise or authorise to give or pay, directly, indirectly or through any other person, of anything of value to anybody for the purpose of inducing or rewarding any favourable action or influencing any decision in Your favour.
Section A: Supplemental Terms for TCC Wallet α
These supplemental terms (TCC Wallet α T&Cs) are applicable to all Users who sign up for using the TCC Wallet α on the TCC App. All Users accessing TCC Wallet α shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these TCC Wallet α T&Cs as a part of the Terms of Use.
1. Key Attributes of TCC Wallet
- TCC Wallet α is an online / digital wallet, or a prepaid payment instrument (“PPI”) issued by Pockket Payment Technologies Private Limited (PPTPL).
- PPTPL is registered with the RBI as a non-bank PPI Issuer, and is authorized to open and operate a PPI wallet/account for any individual. Such individuals who open a wallet with PPTPL may load the wallet with value stored in the wallet for the purchase of goods or services or other remittances.
- PPTPL, under the brand name of The Card Company (TCC) will be issuing and operating said wallets (i.e. the TCC Wallet α) on the TCC App.
- Once you open a TCC Wallet α and load the same with money, you may use it to make payments against the value You load it with.
- TCC may make TCC Wallet α available to some or all of TCC Users at its sole discretion. TCC may also suspend or discontinue offering TCC Wallet α for any TCC Users at their sole discretion.
2. Onboarding
- You may access TCC Wallet α by undergoing the wallet onboarding journey on the TCC App.
- As a part of the onboarding, TCC will require you to complete the Know Your Customer (“KYC”) process (which may include provision of your mobile number verified by One Time Password, self declaration of Your name and Your valid KYC records, downloading records from CKYCR and/or Digilocker, video KYC verification, liveliness check, PAN check, bank account validation, fraud screening). You consent to TCC undertaking any of the foregoing as a part of the KYC process.
- Once You finish the KYC process and the onboarding journey successfully, PPTPL will issue a Min KYC or a Full KYC PPI, as you elect on the TCC App.
- You agree that depending on the KYC process you choose to undergo while onboarding, PPTPL may impose certain restrictions on the use and functionality of your TCC Wallet α at its sole discretion and as may be prescribed under relevant laws.
- You agree and acknowledge that You: (a) are an Indian citizen; (b) will submit your correct Know Your Customer details; (c) are not a ‘Politically Exposed Person’ (PEP) in terms of the RBI Know your Customer (KYC) Master Directions, read with the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002; (d) are a tax resident of India and not a resident of any other country; and (e) will inform TCC in case of any changes in your PEP status, your residency status, or your KYC details.
- You further agree to & authorize sharing of your KYC information to comply with any regulatory/statutory requirements.
3. Use of TCC Wallet
- For your convenience, you can login to access and transact from the TCC Wallet α account by using your login credentials used to access the TCC App.
- You may load money into Your TCC Wallet α account using any of your credit/debit cards, Netbanking, or UPI mode of payment. Loading of TCC Wallet α through certain instruments may attract a nominal fee, same shall be notified on the TCC app at the time of wallet loading.
- You agree that in case of any change in Your particulars furnished during onboarding, PPTPL reserves the right to suspend or permanently stop Your use of the TCC Wallet α.
- You also agree that if you chose to undergo a min KYC or non-face-to-face KYC process, PPTPL reserves the right to require you to undertake Video KYC verification at any point in time at its discretion.
- PPTPL reserves the right to suspend or permanently stop Your use of the TCC Wallet α in case it suspects that there is unusual activity being carried out in or through your TCC Wallet α.
- You agree to TCC sharing your phone number and other details to PPTPL, to enable PPTPL to send communications and updates regarding your activity on TCC Wallet α.

4. Closure of TCC Wallet
- Once registered for the TCC Wallet α, if you want to log out from TCC Wallet α, you may do so by logging out of your TCC account.
- In case You want to close Your TCC Wallet α, You can follow the steps set out in the TCC App for initiating a closure request.
- Any balance lying in your TCC Wallet α will first be transferred Back to Source before any closure. Further, in case any transaction on the TCC Wallet α is outstanding/not yet settled at the time of You initiating a closure request, the request will be processed only after such transaction is settled.
- After any closure of the TCC Wallet α, PPTPL will retain Your data for as long as required by PPTPL to comply with applicable Laws.
- You agree and acknowledge that there can be certain risk-based scenarios when Your TCC Wallet α may not be immediately closed but suspended and then eventually closed, which is solely based on the discretion of PPTPL.
- You further understand that once Your TCC Wallet α is closed, PPTPL may not be able to reinstate Your TCC Wallet α and may not allow You to create a new wallet as per regulatory directives or based on PPTPL's internal policies.
- If you decide to delete your TCC Account, you would first be required to close the TCC Wallet α. You acknowledge that Your TCC Account cannot be closed/deleted without the TCC Wallet α being closed first.
5. Types of Wallets Issued by TCC and Their Features
The following types of wallets can be issued by TCC to its customers.
- Minimum KYC Wallet — These are small PPIs issued, where a user has completed only Minimum KYC as stipulated in the Master Directions of RBI.

The only time you can transfer money out of this account is at the point of closure, at which point you would be required to transfer money to your own bank account post providing required bank account proof of ownership and after completing your Know Your Customer; or transfer money 'back to source' (payment source from where the money was loaded). 4 Debit from prepaid account The total amount debited from the prepaid payment account during any given month shall not exceed INR 10,000/- (Indian Rupees Ten Thousand Only) 5 Expiry Period As per the RBI guidelines updated as on November 12, 2021, the new type of Min KYC account has no expiry. 6 Making the Wallet account inactive In case of no financial transaction for a consecutive period of 1 (one) year in the Prepaid Payment Account, TCC shall make the Account inactive 7 Usage of the Wallet The wallet can be used only for purchase of goods and services. Fund transfer to other wallets or to bank accounts is not permitted 8 Closure of Wallet At the time of closure, any outstanding balance in the wallet shall be transferred at the request of the holder to the 'own bank account of Wallet holder' or shall be transferred 'back to source' after complying with KYC requirements of the Wallet holder. - Full KYC Video KYC Wallet

Where you wish to reactivate such account, you will have to contact us through our customer care details and comply with applicable validation norms, as prescribed by TCC 5 Usage of the Wallet The wallet can be used only for money transfer and purchase of goods and services 6 Closure of Wallet An option shall be provided at the time of issuing the Wallet, to the holder to provide details of pre designated bank account or other PPI of the same issuer to which such balance amount shall be transferred in the event of closure or expiry of such wallet.
- Minimum KYC Wallet — These are small PPIs issued, where a user has completed only Minimum KYC as stipulated in the Master Directions of RBI.
6. Fees
- TCC does not charge You any fee for creating an account or using TCC Wallet α, or use of TCC Services, unless specified explicitly. TCC reserves the right to charge fees in relation to the use and/or termination of the TCC Wallet α. TCC shall determine and give reasonable details on the TCC app regarding applicable fees which shall be binding on the User, if the User continues to maintain or use the TCC Wallet α services. We may at our sole discretion introduce new services and modify some or all the existing services offered and may introduce fees for the new/existing services or amend/introduce fees for existing services. Changes to the fee(s) policy shall automatically become effective immediately and will be notified via changes to these Terms of use.
7. Refund and Cancellation
- All payments made through TCC Wallet α for any recharge, bill pay, or any other payment processed by You on TCC platform or Merchant partners accepting TCC Wallet α as a payment option shall be final and TCC shall not be responsible for any error and omission by You or Merchant partners. These transactions cannot be refunded, returned or cancelled once initiated.
- If you erroneously processed a payment to an unintended Merchant or processed a payment for the wrong amount, Your only recourse will be to contact the Merchant directly and ask them to refund the amount. TCC shall not be liable to handle such disputes, nor can We reimburse You or reverse a payment that You have erroneously made.
- In case We receive a refund for a transaction which You have processed earlier, We will refund the funds back to the source, including TCC Wallet α, unless specified or directed by You otherwise.
Supplementary Terms for Communication
By accepting these terms, You accept the following:
- TCC may send alerts to the mobile phone number provided by You while registering with the TCC Platform or on any updated mobile number subsequently provided by You on the TCC Platform, or via e-mail or push notifications.
- TCC will make best efforts to provide alerts via SMS/e-mail/push notifications and it shall be deemed that You shall have received the information sent from TCC as an alert on the mobile phone number or e-mail id provided during the course of, or in relation to, using the TCC Platform or availing any TCC Services. TCC shall not be under any obligation to confirm the authenticity of the person(s) receiving the alert. You cannot hold TCC liable for non-availability of the SMS/email alert/push notifications service in any manner whatsoever.
- You authorize TCC to contact You and communicate with You for any TCC Service or Offer(s). TCC may use third party service providers to send alerts or communicate with You. You authorize TCC and TCC Entities to override the DND settings to reach out to You over calls, SMS, emails and any other mode of communication.
- The SMS/e-mail alert/push notification service provided by TCC is an additional facility provided for Your convenience and that it may be susceptible to error, omission and/or inaccuracy. In the event that You observe any error in the information provided in the alert, TCC shall be immediately informed about the same by You and TCC will make best possible efforts to rectify the error as early as possible.
- The clarity, readability, accuracy and promptness of providing the SMS/e-mail alert/push notification service depend on many factors including the infrastructure and connectivity of the service provider. TCC shall not be responsible for any non-delivery, delayed delivery or distortion of the alert in any way whatsoever.
- You will indemnify and hold harmless TCC and the SMS/e-mail service provider including its officials from any damages, claims, demands, proceedings, losses, costs, charges and expenses whatsoever including legal charges and attorney's fees which TCC or the SMS/e-mail service provider may at any time incur, sustain, suffer or be subjected to as a consequence of, or arising out of misuse by You or improper or fraudulent information provided by You, or incorrect number or a number that belongs to an unrelated third party provided by You.
Supplemental Terms for Min-KYC Accounts
These terms govern your onboarding and continued use of the TCC Wallet α under the Minimum KYC (Min-KYC) category, as permitted by the Reserve Bank of India's Master Directions on Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPIs), 2021.
1. Eligibility
- The TCC Min-KYC Wallet may be issued only to Users who are Indian citizens and are above 12 years of age.
- Any Min-KYC attempt initiated by Users below 12 years of age shall be rejected.
- In case of minors (aged between 12 and 18 years), the User shall be required to complete video KYC upon attaining the age of 18, failing which the Wallet may be suspended or closed as per applicable law.
2. Validity of KYC
- A Min-KYC Wallet shall remain valid for a period of 2 (two) years from the date of issuance.
- The Wallet will be closed after the expiry of the said period unless the User upgrades to a Full-KYC (video-KYC) Wallet before expiry.
3. KYC Information Collected
- For the issuance of a Min-KYC Wallet, you are required to:
- Possess an active mobile number issued by Indian telecom operators, verified through OTP-based authentication;
- Provide a self-declaration of your full name and the unique identification number of one Officially Valid Document (OVD) as defined under RBI's KYC Master Directions (e.g., PAN, Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, etc.);
- Upload or capture a live selfie for identity verification.
- If Aadhaar is used as the OVD for Min-KYC, TCC shall store only the last 4 digits of the Aadhaar number, in compliance with data minimization norms.
4. Use of Information
- By proceeding with Min-KYC, you consent to TCC and its regulated PPI issuer to collect, store, process, and use your KYC information for the purpose of regulatory compliance, identity verification, fraud prevention, and service provisioning.
- You also authorize TCC to share your KYC data with the PPI issuer and other regulated entities as may be required under applicable laws.
5. Restrictions and Limits
- The features and limits of the Min-KYC Wallet are governed under RBI's applicable Master Directions. These include:
- Maximum balance: ₹10,000 at any point in time
- Monthly reload limit: ₹10,000
- Annual load limit: ₹1,20,000
- Usage: Purchase of goods/services only (no fund transfer to other wallets or accounts)
6. Inactivity and Closure
- In the event of no financial transaction for 12 consecutive months, the Wallet may be marked inactive.
- Upon request for closure of a Min-KYC Wallet, any remaining balance may be:
- Refunded back to source, or
- Transferred to the User's own bank account, subject to completion of Full KYC (Video KYC) and proof of ownership of the destination account.
7. Upgrade to Full-KYC (Video KYC)
- Users are encouraged to upgrade to a Full-KYC (video KYC) Wallet at any time by undergoing the Video KYC or in-person verification flow available in the TCC App.
- TCC reserves the right to require an upgrade to Full KYC at any time, in case of suspicious activity, regulatory directives, or usage patterns that warrant enhanced due diligence.
8. Misuse, Rejection & Fraud Prevention
- TCC reserves the right to reject any KYC submission or suspend Wallet operations if:
- Information provided is incorrect, fraudulent, incomplete or unverifiable;
- The selfie or OVD image is unclear, manipulated or mismatched;
- The user is suspected of misusing the platform in any way.
Supplemental Terms and Conditions for Non-Face-to-Face (Non-FTF) KYC Accounts
These Supplemental Terms and Conditions (“Non-FTF KYC Terms”) apply to all Users availing The Card Company Wallet α (TCC Wallet) using non-video Full KYC modes, in compliance with the Reserve Bank of India's Master Direction on Know Your Customer (KYC), 2023 and the Master Direction on Prepaid Payment Instruments (PPI), 2021.
Eligibility
- The TCC non-Video Full KYC Wallet may be issued only to Users who are Indian citizens and are above 12 years of age.
- Any KYC attempt initiated by Users below 12 years of age shall be rejected.
- In case of minors (aged between 12 and 18 years), the User shall be required to complete Video KYC upon attaining the age of 18 or 1 year, whichever is earlier, failing which the Wallet may be closed as per applicable law.
Onboarding Process
- The User shall provide Aadhaar details through Digilocker or other RBI-permitted sources and authenticate using an OTP sent to their Aadhaar-linked mobile number. The User further agrees to: (a) Provide consent for such authentication; (b) Allow live selfie capture, which shall be matched against the Aadhaar photograph; (c) Undergo AML/CFT checks against watchlists as mandated under applicable laws.
- TCC shall store only the last 4 digits of the Aadhaar number, in compliance with data minimization norms.
Use of Information
- By proceeding with Non-FTF KYC, you consent to TCC and its regulated PPI issuer to collect, store, process, and use your KYC information for the purpose of regulatory compliance, identity verification, fraud prevention, and service provisioning.
- You also authorize TCC to share your KYC data with the PPI issuer and other regulated entities as may be required under applicable laws.
Closure and Refund
In case the video KYC is not done within 1 year, the account shall be closed, and any balance amount shall be transferred back to the source account from which funds were loaded.
Intimation
The Company shall make reasonable efforts to inform the User prior to the closure of the account. However, the Company shall not be held liable in the event such communication is not delivered or acknowledged by the User.
Supplemental Terms for Video KYC (V-KYC)
These terms and conditions for Video KYC process (“VKYC Terms”) apply to and regulate the operation of Video KYC process offered by TCC in India and govern the general relationship between the holder of the TCC Wallet User and TCC, having its registered office at: Unit No. 36B, Ground Floor, Tower B1, Spaze I-Tech Park, Sector 49, Sohna Road, Gurugram, Haryana - 122018.
Definitions
- “User” shall mean a Resident Indian individual applicant who applies for any product/facility with TCC subject to such product/facility specific terms and conditions as may be specified by TCC from time to time.
- “KYC” shall mean the ‘Know Your Customer’ process to be completed by TCC as per applicable regulations and guidelines.
- “Product” / “Facility” shall mean any TCC product or facility that the User has applied/requested for and in respect of which the User has consented to complete the KYC through the Video KYC process.
- “Video KYC process” / “V-KYC” shall mean the process of KYC verification conducted through a video call feature supported by TCC in line with extant regulations and TCC's policy.
- “TCC Platform” shall mean TCC's website https://thecardcompany.in and the TCC App.
Applicability of the Terms
These VKYC Terms and Supplemental Terms and Conditions form the express contract between the User and TCC. By applying, the User acknowledges that he has read, understood and accepted these VKYC Terms and the Supplemental Terms and Conditions as applicable.
General Terms for V-KYC Process
- Requirements for availing of V-KYC feature:
- V-KYC process is available only for Users who are physically present in India and if the same can be confirmed through their live location through geo-tagging and shall be accessible only during the working hours defined by TCC;
- V-KYC process shall not be available during National holidays;
- V-KYC process shall work only in good network/internet conditions;
- User should possess requisite documents and materials as informed on the journey page at the time of the V-KYC process.
- On opting for V-KYC process, a two-way video call will be initiated between the User and TCC official to start the V-KYC process.
- As a part of V-KYC process, the User shall be required to verify their identity by answering certain questions asked by TCC officials through a video call. By proceeding with the video call, the User accepts the VKYC Terms herein.
- The User shall be required to cooperate with TCC officials in every manner and provide all such relevant information/data/documents including but not limited to allowing TCC officials to capture their photographs, photographs/screenshots of various documents (including but not limited to Officially Valid Documents (“OVD”), PAN, etc.).
- The User herein agrees to adhere to the following during the course of the V-KYC process: (i) Be professional and respectful with the verification executive; (ii) No profanity, nudity, or illegal activity is allowed during the process; (iii) Cooperation is necessary for successful VKYC completion. Non-compliance may result in account suspension or process termination.
- The User authorizes TCC to collect/store/verify any and all information/details received through the V-KYC process including but not limited to the video call itself, information received from documents/information captured/shared through the video call.
- Users who have opted for V-KYC process agree that their request is subject to verification and may be rejected by TCC for various reasons including: call drop due to network/internet issues; documents matching criteria not fulfilled; inability to capture screenshots; User not ready to co-operate; location outside India; face mismatch; poor quality uploaded documents; or for any other reason at the discretion of TCC.
- Requirements for availing of V-KYC feature:
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
By accepting these terms and conditions in the digital journey of the V-KYC process, the User shall be deemed to have accorded his approval/consent to (i) complete the KYC verification for the Product/Facility application through V-KYC process; and (ii) the consents, authorisations, declarations, and undertakings, etc. mentioned therein.
Miscellaneous
- User agrees that all costs incurred at the User's end (technical/data plan related or otherwise) for completing the V-KYC process shall be borne by the User solely.
- User acknowledges that due to operational or technical requirements TCC may share the personal information, documents, data and information procured from User to its authorized third party service provider and User provides explicit consent to TCC for the same.
- The User agrees that TCC shall not be liable for any connectivity/signal/data related issues leading to incomplete information/application being provided by the User.
- In case the Video based KYC process is not completed/submitted for any reason whatsoever, TCC may contact the User for completing offline KYC.
- User hereby agrees to indemnify, defend and hold harmless TCC from and against any and all liability, loss that may occur from reliance by TCC on the information, declarations, documents, images and undertakings, etc. provided by the User.
- TCC reserves the right, at any time and from time to time, with or without notice, to cancel, withdraw, suspend, vary, change, add to or supplement the V-KYC process and facilities offered to Users hereunder.
Limitation of Liability
- Neither TCC nor its employees shall be responsible or liable in any way for any direct or consequential loss suffered by the User or any third party or towards any claims that may arise due to the rejections of the Product/Facility application due to the V-KYC process availed by the User.
- TCC shall not be liable for any failure to perform any obligation contained in these VKYC Terms or for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered or incurred by the User or a third party howsoever caused.
- Under no circumstances shall TCC be liable to the User or a third party for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary loss or damages in connection with the V-KYC process.
Supplemental Terms for Recharges and Bill Payments
TCC facilitates Recharges & Bill Payment services that allow you to view Your bills or eligible prepaid plans and make payments to Billers through TCC Platform. You understand that the Bill Payment Services provided through TCC are either provided (i) by a Bharat Connect Operating Unit (BCOU) under the Bharat Connect (BBPS) infrastructure, where the Biller is registered with NPCI; or (ii) by a Biller aggregator with whom TCC has entered into a contractual arrangement.
Definitions
- “BCOU” means Bharat Connect Operating Unit, formerly known as Bharat Bill Payment Operating Unit — India Ideas Com Limited (“Billdesk”) is currently the BCOU for TCC (https://www.billdesk.com/web/).
- “Biller” means a biller, including Prepaid Service Providers for Bill Payment Services either through a biller aggregator or a BCOU, to whom a User can initiate bill payment on TCC Platform.
- “Bharat Connect” means Bharat Connect, formerly known as Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS), is an integrated bill payment system under NPCI, offering interoperable bill payment service.
- “Bill Payment Services” means the facility provided to Users on TCC Platform to view bills or pre-paid plans and make payments to Billers and receive other ancillary services.
Use of Recharges & Bill Payments
To use the Recharges & Bill Payments Services, you will need to download the TCC App. TCC App offers a convenient and secure way to make payments towards identified Biller(s) using a valid payment account. From time to time, TCC may, at its sole discretion, add to or delete from such list of Billers or types of payment methods that can be used in respect of making payments to a Biller. TCC reserves the right to charge fees in relation to the use and/or termination of the Recharges & Bill Payments Services.
Role of TCC in Recharge & Bill Payment Services
- You agree that TCC is acting solely in the capacity of a facilitator of payments and not in the capacity of a beneficiary/Biller/merchant.
- You understand that TCC facilitates the Recharge & Bill Payment Services through: (i) BCOU (BBPOU) infrastructure where the Biller is registered with NPCI for bill payments; or (ii) aggregators with whom TCC has an agreement.
- You understand that all payments are routed through NPCI/Aggregator and TCC has no direct contact with the Biller.
- TCC is not a party to and will not be responsible for any disputes, chargebacks or reversals arising pursuant to payment transactions.
In using the Recharges & Bill Payment service, you agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about Yourself, Your payment account details, Your Biller details; and maintain and promptly update this information.
TCC assumes no responsibility and shall incur no liability if it is unable to affect any payment instruction(s) on the payment date owing to any one or more of the following circumstances: (i) incomplete, inaccurate, invalid or delayed payment instructions; (ii) insufficient funds/limits; (iii) funds under encumbrance or charge; (iv) bank or clearing center refusal; (v) payment not processed by Biller upon receipt; or (vi) circumstances beyond the control of TCC.
Disclaimer of Warranties
- You agree that TCC shall not be liable for any damages, losses (direct or indirect) whatsoever, due to disruption or non-availability of any facilities due to any technical error or any failure in telecommunication network or any error in any systems beyond the control of TCC.
- TCC shall not be responsible for any technical issue related to periodic retrieval of the bills from the Billers/NPCI/aggregators or any errors/discrepancies in the bills.
- You agree that TCC is not responsible for any transaction failure due to technical issues at NPCI/Biller/aggregator end.
- You agree that TCC is not liable, if for any reason the Biller refunds the amount and the transaction fails, even after the transaction is deemed successful.
Setting up Bill Payment Services
To use the Bill Payment Services, You may be required to provide us with your bill account information for Billers with whom you would like to make payments. By using the Bill Payment Services, you consent for sharing your Bill Payment Account Information with the third parties to fetch your bill account information and expressly authorize TCC to access, use and store your Bill Payment Account Information and bill details on an ongoing basis, on your behalf for the purpose of providing Bill Payment Services to You.
Payment Confirmation
Users will receive an instant confirmation or receipt as soon as their bill payment is processed. This real-time confirmation helps ensure: (i) the payment is successfully completed without delays; (ii) payment is not misdirected; (iii) correct billing details are used; and (iv) a valid receipt is generated immediately.
Refunds
Refund of payment amount for bill payment including recharge or for any payment debited from your account for which the bill payment or recharge is not delivered, will be solely as per the terms or policies of the Biller, and you agree that TCC will not be responsible for the same. Refunds (if applicable) for transactions will be made to the original payment method within 5-7 working days.
General
- You agree that TCC is at liberty to withdraw at any time the Recharge and Bill Payment Facility, or any services provided thereunder, in respect of any or all the bill account(s) without assigning any reason whatsoever, without giving you any notice.
- TCC has no obligation to monitor the Service or Your use thereof or retain the content of Your session. However, TCC reserves the right at all times to monitor, review, retain and/or disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request.
